Nice one.Haha just looked it up and it would have been Liverpool if it went to an English team.That would have hurt.

LIVERPOOL have missed out on a back-door entry into Europe with England having failed to be granted an extra place through the Fair Play League.

The final standings released by UEFA yesterday revealed Sweden, Norway and Finland finished in the top three and have been awarded an additional berth in next season’s Europa League first qualifying round.

England, having been fourth in the intermediate standings back in December, eventually dropped to ninth place.

Liverpool are set to finish third in the Premier League Fair Play table and, as the highest-placed team not to have already qualified for Europe, would have been offered the extra spot.

I know mate.Do the winners of this seasons Europa not get entry into next seasons competition? If so what happens with that place?

EUFA are having a meeting tomorrow to discuss ways of giving Liverpool the spot, At the moment they are struggling and are having to have a recount on pie sales.

Should Chelsea win the Europa League there are no additional places in the competition handed to the Premier League, even if the Blues finish fifth and win the FA Cup.

If Chelsea’s only trophy win comes through the Europa League and they finish lower than fifth, they would defend their trophy and it wouldn’t come at the expense of the contingent of the English clubs

Mind you, there's bound to be a place in the competition untaken now.

A place reserved for the winners......but not being used because the winners are in the CL.

Or maybe the winners don't automatically have entry into the Europa League the following season?
