Why does this happen?

Managers come and go, so do players and so do owners even. One constant is the fans.

The fanbase breeds negativity and a losers mentality which shapes the ethos of the club.
Chicken and egg though because the players keep doing it? That's why we are negative because it keeps happening.

In the silence after their equaliser, every one wondering what just happened, someone said 'that's everton that'. Kinda sums it up.

Something needs to happen at Everton football club its kin dire at the moment and has been since Martinez's first season.

Said it before but we massively missed the boat on Zlatan - would have been the type of leader we need out on the pitch and a perfect mentor to Kean & DCL.

Looking at their second goal is laughable.

*They launch it forward from a Tom Davies foul.
*Tom Davies misjudges the ball and instead of heading it away, he gets in Holgates way who could have headed it out.
*Ball falls straight to a newcastle player who hits the post, from an angle that he would never have scored.
(Meanwhile Yerry Mina runs out of position like a maniac to block the ball and stays on the sideline doing nothing).
*Ball comes off the post and straight to another Newcastle player who slips and kicks the ball downwards
(Pickford tries to saves the ball that should have come his way but instead it bounces off Calvert Lewins head
*Ball bounces of CL head and falls straight to a Newcastle player who kicks it right at Pickford, whose behind the line!!
*Yerry Mina finally gets back onto the field after 10 seconds of having a rest

A combination of bad luck and Sunday league defending.

One of the main causes is the simple fact that we are leaderless on the park. When things start going wrong 5 or 6 of them start shouting out instructions with most stood round mystified not a clue what to do. We desperately need a big mouth bully who can play a bit and will get them organised on the park, woe be tide anyone ignoring what is said. This awful season is highlighted by the fact we have conceded 7 goals in the 90th minute plus, 4 more than any other club. That is a relegation stat. What really hurt last night after we'd played so well was out of nowhere we behaved like rabbits in headlights. This is specifically a team problem as we are rudderless, I suspect the Don will be considering this in his aftermath musings and so he should.
