Why do people want Duncan Ferguson to replace Silva?

It's this notion that he'd get the players fired up and he gets us etc... think it would be daft imo. He has less on his CV than Unsworth and look how that went.
If he can get the players fired up, why hasn't he?
We need youth, exuberance, charisna and freshness to get away the staleness of our recent bosses.

I want a young and hungry manager who unites us on and off the park. The next boss needs time so it has to be someone who would command time.

And don't bother mentioning Dave and his irrational hatred of our little Spaniard. He doesn't go the game. Ever.
I dunno, young managers aren't always a good thing, look at Eddie Howe for instance. Then again, Lampard's shown he can cut it. I doubt he'd leave Derby though.

I can think of another manager who's young and hungry, but he's in Scotland, and he'd probably rather chop his own balls off than manage us.

I'd be made up if we got Lampard, he's doing a fantastic job at Derby.

I think Lampard would be good too. Well known for his work ethic, so very much in the mould of Moyes but of course a much bigger name and a popular type who would instantly command respect from the players. Also related to one of the best British managers from the last 40 years in Harry and would have learnt a thing or two from him. Good shout

Arteta is a rat TT, make no mistake.

I will pack my ticket in if he ever gets the job.

No ta he's a big part of the problem splitting the dressing room.
Details?
I get that but I see that as a positive. No baggage. The hunger of these ambitious young managers can't be underestimated. I'll never get over the half arsed attitude of Koeman who acted like it was an enormous chore to be our manager.

Stuff like that matters now. The most important role for a manager is no longer tactical. They have a backroom staff who help with that. The key thing is mentality and making players believe and enjoy their football. We live in an age where players are mentally weak and shirk responsibility. A manager needs to make players believe firstly in themselves and make them run through walls. The youth and freshness is the way forward.

I don't want an experienced manager. We've tried that. It doesn't suit us.
Are there any players in the EPL who would 'run through walls' for their clubs? Times have changed. Loyalty no longer exists. Look at the snakes at Man United.

I agree with nearly all that. Except the fact that you come back to Arteta at the end.

Well our next manager needs to command respect of the players and have the backing they need from the fans that will buy them the time. They will need it.

I want to roll the dice. I can't get the Arteta Arsenal thing out of my head. It gives me a lot of confidence in him. Above all I want hope and excitement. That's why I will continue to back my man Mikel.

Lampard I would equally support, as I've already said above. He's going to be very good. He wins the respect of our chumps within 30 seconds.

Who knows mate it could work out?

Just my gut telling me it won't tbh

.....because we are desperate ?! ....because established quality managers would not want to come here ?
Who knows... but Big Dunc is the answer only to " Who finally got Everton relegated ? "

The ship continues to sink ...Brands has a massive job with the club / manager / playing staff going forward. Hope he's up for it.....

It's New Manager Syndrome. Though I hope OGS stays on, he deserves it. He's better than the last douchebag they had.

They certainly weren't running through walls when Mourinho managed them, they were quite happy to down tools. Derby walked all over them.

Moyes player seeking to leave to join a massive champions league club.

Can't say I blame him.

The best midfielder I've seen play for us. A marvellous player. Going to be a terrific manager.

Let's get a fresh new manager in with the right mentality.

If we change manager - I agree, the 'right' mentality.

Not the mentality of seeing your arse at the last minute and cowardly walking away.
