Why do Evertonians hate their own players?

Not hate but I worried for the club every time Niasse played.

A totem for everything that was wrong between Moyes’s spells. And people celebrate him.

Don’t get the love for him. He was awful and played like a raffle competition winner.

Prince Oumar my eye.
The Niasse thing for me was more that people were acting like he was a competition winner. (like you said).

He was a limited player but he did have some traits that could make him useful. Honestly he looked no worse than Beto when he first came (even now in some ways, both are ungainly but can get you a goal and work hard etc.)

He wasn't even the worst striker at the club when he was here, Sandro was miles worse but never got the competition winner digs.

I've been a member of this fine website for over 15 years on and off, i have met a few of you but still find a few blues use this site to HATE the lads who try and win game for us. I have never understood this.

Anyone know why? The "Everton Darsss" shout coined by Azul was very accurate. I was in the Park End and heard literal boos for Dom and " He wearrrrs a skirrrrrt"

Whats this all about blues?
You're supposed to hate the game, not the playa, Bry.

But our fans be trippin', G...
So, haters gonna hate. You feel me, dawg?!

I disagree, he was really bad.
He was no worse than a bunch of other players we have had though, some of which were at the club at the same time. I feel the worship of him is rather tongue in cheek but I feel the slating he got by some was a bit OTT also. I don't think it helped that he was a reminder of the madness at the end of the Martinez reign either though. The only real run of football he got for us he got a few goals and contributed at least.

He gave us an enjoyable moment, and really that's what football is about (for me anyway).

If Oumar was a raffle winner Straquilirsi must have come runner up in stick the tail on the donkey. Oumar at least knew how to score. Denis was horrendous even in comparison to Oumar. It's no coincidence his name becomes Penis with just one letter change.

There’s a lot of hate filled people in the world who lack empathy and emotional intelligence

I find it weird the boo-ers always seem to take it out on local youngsters also - unsworth, osman, Barkley, davies, dcl spring to mind in my matchgoing time

It’ll be James garner or Harrison Armstrong next

It saves time

He was pretty poor. I think he got sone sympathy because he was badly treated by an unpopular Everton manager (Koeman) and his two goals against Bournemouth showed him up.

I personally took the Prince Niasse japes as wry humour. With a touch of "if you don't laugh, we'll cry".

Poor use of money in an era of using money poorly, bar a few good signings.

No sympathy from me, the guy was arrested for assaulting his wife. No time for that.
