And it's always generally a lot more positive when they do the winning thing.
Agree with your first sentence. The game against Fulham was the worst I've ever seen at Goodison bar none.I’m amazed not to have read Dyche’s name. The football in the first half of this season was the worst I have seen (and I go back to the 90s).
Players were making five-yard sideways passes and misplacing them. They were rightly booed for this. In hindsight, they were terrified that they would get shouted at or dropped for making a 10 yard forward pass.
A lot of it is about attitude. Fans want players with optimism and positivity. They like players like N’Diye because he has a go. None of us probably understands how technically brilliant you have to be just to look crap in this league, but if I were to it it in a sentence…
Fans want their players to try to win games; they get frustrated when they don’t think the players want the same.
Well, it's definitely felt more like supporting a charity in the 21st century...If you think supporting Everton is about football, you are missing the point.
Hello Ronald. Not hate but I worried for the club every time Niasse played.
A totem for everything that was wrong between Moyes’s spells. And people celebrate him.
Don’t get the love for him. He was awful and played like a raffle competition winner.
Prince Oumar my eye.
Good name for a racehorse - Sandhills Rush.Gotta beat the Sandhills rush
And the other 14% hadn't subscribed as they were too busy watching Russell Brand podcasts instead?Saw a study in the Athletic, (can’t link cos of paywall) Basically 86% of everton fans surveyed subscribed to the Joe Rogan podcast and a whopping 92% said ‘Nige and Tommy speak a lot of sense’ completely unprompted when asked a question about players’ wages. More than double that of any other club.
Maupay as well, I don't like DCL but wouldn't say I hate him.Was going to say the same
He deserved everything he got.
Scored goals though ehNot hate but I worried for the club every time Niasse played.

I think it's really just social media and fact that going to games has been crap for years. Even in Martinezs last season, you never knew what was going to happen in games and it was reasonably exciting. When we sign loads of players who have zero pace and often very little skill it does make you angry. Some games in last 10 years we didn't create 1 proper chance. Against RS in 2019, we didn't properly test Allison, we played Leicester at home same season and it was 1 of the worst performances I've ever seen from an Everton side. Football has become boring, teams are far too cautious and are far too interested in passing sideways. Look at RS at GP, while that was exciting in parts, it was still duller than derby games 15 years ago. While Salah won RS league this season, he's still nowhere near as good as Suarez, Bergkamps, Rooneys, Berbatov and Henry's of the world. Mykolenko has had Salah in his pocket in numerous derbies. People have conflated over exposure and hype before games, with quality actually improving. Hardly surprising fans get annoyed with Dourcore, when he can't play simple passes and he can't keep control of ball.Seems to be society in general has become more hateful, social media has set us back years. People are just angry all the time.
The club has signed an awful lot of players who simply are not the required standard and earn fortunes, I think that also plays a part, right or wrong, in the way they're treated.
