I think its more Klopp than anyone else... but who knows.


Klopp isn’t the one selling dross for mass profit.

Klopp may well be making the results, but he only goes with what he’s got.

Like it or not, they’ve spent less than City, United and are still competitive. Joined the business as soon as FSG came in and been a huge part.

No guarantees we’re actually going for a Sporting Director either if rumours are to be believed.
 

My question is, what happens if the DoF gets it wrong? Who is the DoF to the DoF? DoFs also get sacked or quit. What if their vision is wrong and the continuity is of failure and not success? I don't have an answer to this, I just feel the obsession to having one and thinking it will automatically translate to success is naive and the reason simplistic.
 

I would just let Benitez run things.. that way if he fails nobody else can be blamed but him.. these DOF people waste more money than managers just look at what Walsh and Brands wasted.. at least if a manager comes in and is not performing you can sack him,, what happens if the DOF is poor.. all that happens is the manager in charge gets blamed and the DOF gets a walkover....
