I think we need a proper outsider (not kopite) with a background of excellence to come in and look at things with a critical eye and demand the standards to which he is accustomed.

Yep. Wanted Kovac or a couple other managers but he is far from the worst choice. Think he was given a raw deal from Chelsea.
Keep us up this season and consolidate next season. Hopefully comfortably mid table next season.
First things first though, he has an awful lot of work to do to lift the players confidence and come up with an effective system that they are capable of playing. We are still in a very precarious position.
