I think he only played on the right against Villareal due to Mirallas going off and all of Deulofeu, McGeady and Pienaar being injured.

Other than that, his last appearance on either wing was way back in Jan against West Ham in the cup. I'm confident he'll play 99% of 15/16 in the middle, how much of it will as a DM, CM or an AM? I couldn't tell you.

He looked very neat and tidy when he played centrally.
Cleverly looked likewise, offered us good link up with Baines and an inclination towards forward passing.

Every time Martinez played McCarthy, Cleverley and Barry in the same side I hope bad things happen to our manager.

Seems like most people are going for Mirallas. If that's the case it makes me wonder who is going to play on the right...

I can't see him changing the formation when we haven't really changed anything in preseason. I'm starting to think it's definitely gonna be Cleverley.
 

Osman on the left hoping he has his one in five good games on Saturday. No other option really other than maybe bringing Barry in, shifting Cleverley to the left and keeping Osman on the bench.

Cleverly looked comfortable on the left in the first half the other day, and linked well with Baines, something we lacked last season. Nailed on for me, regardless of who's fit.
 
Martinez will view Watford (at Goodison) a major threat. I suspect we will sit deep and try to hit them on the counter. The defensive qualities of Cleverley probably see him as preferred choice on the right. McCarthy and Barry will of course protect our back 4 (and Howard) from the dangerous Watford strike force, but I imagine Bobby will insist on Cleverley putting in a big defensive shift. With such in mind, I suggest Naisy (who always gives it his all) will be the man to also be able to drop back and assist the defence.
