I think Osman could be boss in the MLS. Oviedo can't even get a match with all these injuries so he probably needs to go somewhere else to further his career. McGeady probably isn't terribad and might do alright playing in a league that isn't kick and rush, its just the prem is where plodding wingers go to die.

Gibson has a skill that no on else on the side has, he needs to stay. Hopefully he'll have late career injury free run like Saha (he won't but a guy can dream).

I meant us as a club for buying. If Chelsea and United come in for him then so be it. He'll still have 3 and a half years left on his contract so we won't need to sell.

of course we don't but like us the club bosses will feel more reassured with the players available and could be tempted if the £40-50 mil offer landed, I know I would be

Hes injured.

Probably 1 of the worst lines anybody has ever posted on this forum.

Injured or not he is simply not good enough and his temperament is also doubtful.....................name one occasion when he has excelled, I can't think of one. If you suggest that his lack of progress is down to injuries then I can add he is also injury prone, even coming off the bench he adds nothing to the team

Your comment above must therefore be the worst line ever posted on here

Anyone saying Barry needs their heads shaking. Yes he struggled last season but everyone could see it was down to mismanagement as he is now back to his one game a week best. Rolls Royce player who must be a mare to play against as he is always in the right place at the right time, got another couple of good years yet if used correctly.
I would say nobody to go in January other then the fat river dancer and maybe Kev if someone is panicking and offers silly money that we could use in the summer to find a top replacement.
'Where's the Kev money Bill?'

I didnt say his lack of progression was down to injuries, I said hes currently injured.

How can he make an impression while injured?

He got an injury in pre-season, played 1 game and then picked up another injury, it happens, it doesnt make him Darron Gibson yano.

Hes improved with every game hes played for us, hes 23 years old and hes come from a terrible league and is learning the most demanding position on the field in the best league in the world.

In this thread he is voted MOTM against 1 of the best teams in the league.

And here is our Manager :

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says that Muhamed Besic has achieved wonderful things at Goodison Park and adapted well to a new club, league, and position.

The Bosnian international has become one of the first names on the teamsheet under Martinez this season, and the Spaniard says that Besic is further ahead in his development than he expected to be.

“When you assess Mo Besic as a footballer you need to look into his character,” said Martinez.

“He is someone you can rely on and someone you can build a special future on.

“The reality is that Mo has come from a different league and so to arrive into the Premier League and play the amount of games he has done is magnificent.

“And then becoming a master of a new position is going to take a bit of time.

“But Mo is someone who has played a lot of football this season and his experiences are helping him develop all the time and he’s probably ahead of where I expected him to be.

“He is still a very young player and the best is still to come, especially with another pre-season under his belt.”

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has said that he is excited to see just how good Muhamed Besic can become as an Everton player.

The young Bosnian international has made a big impression already since signing in the summer, but Martinez says he will get even better as time goes on – using the word “phenomenal” in a break from his usual, understated, vocabulary.

“Muhamed is still a player that is shaping up his qualities,” said Martinez. “In Germany, with Hamburg, he played in different positions. He played as a centre half and when he went to Ferencvaros that is the position that he excelled in.

“Obviously playing for Bosnia, he started to use his quality a little bit further forward in front of the back four. It transformed his position on the pitch and, since coming here, he has taken massive strides in improving his tactical awareness.

“Something he will never be short of is technical ability, ball control and his passing range. They are aspects that are fitting in well with where he is developing in our team.

“He is still very young in terms of the position he is playing so I am very much looking forward to his full development and seeing how quickly he can get to the best possible level.

“I have been impressed since the day that I first saw him. I have been very pleased. He has quite a unique character and personality.

“He wants to work every day to become the best that he can, and that is quite infectious. You see game-by-game that he is getting stronger and he is getting used to the demands of the British game. Sometimes you forget how young he is.

“Mo is a phenomenal asset to our team.”

I mean even your "cash in" comment makes no sense, how can you cash in on somebody that and I quote "he adds nothing to the team".

But the fact that you include John Stones and Leighton Baines in the "get rid" group tells me everything I need to know about this utter joke of a thread.

Besic will take over from Barry before the season is out. How you can say he isnt good enough is beyond me, he looks like a top player to me and the best player in the Bosnian side which has some smashing playersm

McGeady is the obvious answer, it's also the right one, as far as January is concerned. Beyond that...

Osman and Pienaar have both clearly had their day, and we could do with getting them off the wage bill.

Gibson I'd imagine is on a wedge too, he's excellent when fit but you've got to cut your losses at some point, I think I've reached that point with him now.

Hibbert barely even counts at this point, but see him off too. He can try and do his coaching badges and stick around if he likes.

Howard is past his best and I'm not convinced Robles is good enough either.

Oviedo and Naismith can stick around as far as I'm concerned, both can do a job, and unless someone like Norwich went into 8 figures for Nais I wouldn't sell him.

Our squad clearly needs a proper culling though, some serious wedge being taken up with next to no contribtions from most of the above, there's at least 5 players who can go.

Robles is not good enough for this league. He is not good enough to have as a permanent starter week in and week out as things stand. He is a calamity goalkeeper and i'm yet to see any evidence that he could actually be decent one day.

God help us the day Robles takes over as the new number 1.

well i have an even worse opinion of howard every waking minute. robles actually comes and claims crosses and his distribution is a massive amount better than howard's. yes he's shaky at times, but there's a very small percentage of people who don't fell that way about howard and more. i never said robles should be a permanant starter - i don't see the point in keeping a 38+ year old on the bench on a much bigger wage to play backup over a young tall keeper who still has plenty to learn.
