I can’t see why we’d want someone with Postecoglu’s credentials - lower quality experience than any recent manager appointed

I doubt Pochettino would want to join

Dyche would be no better than Frank

Moyes could be an interesting option with West Ham also in a poor position

The best option would seem to be to stick with Lampard for the long term - even if relegated - and rebuild the club over time

The main issue is not having a striker - more so than the manager

What’s the full analysis of sides that have gone down and time to come back up? Obviously a range of examples from those who’ve come straight back up to those who’ve never returned

What we need above all else is to somehow sign a good forward or two this window

But what’s the alternative? If we hired someone else, what would we do once they inevitably hit a bad run?

Is it massively oversimplifying things to think that changing the manager is always the answer?

I don’t know who’s the alternative but the current winning rate indicates that we will go down.

The poor recruitment on the attacking players in the summer means the management has to take responsibility for the mess. They had the money but they sign poor crap players like McNeil and Maupay. And they knew DCL is a sick-note so why not buy more options in the summer? I mean good players.

The poor recruitment on the attacking players in the summer means the management has to take responsibility for the mess. They had the money but they sign poor crap players like McNeil and Maupay. And they knew Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a sick-note so why not buy more options in the summer? I mean good players.

The fact is the club did recruit well in defence and midfield and do we get rid of a decent person at the club in FL, because the club wasn’t able to land a decent striker in the summer

I expect Lampard would feel a responsibility to stay if we did go down and his winning mentality combined with the clubs resources should ensure we come back up - perhaps the better for the experience of rebuilding from scratch

Lampard is absolutely not staying if we go down.
