So does that mean if we get martinez, Junior gets a hot spanish step mom?
Oh Christ I hope so.

David moyes for me....
Yes big joe won us a cup which was a great day but we were still a crap side, and regognised as perianal relegation fodder. (Which I'm not blaming joe for)
David moyes although not winning anything has turned us into a consistant top end of the table side. We're now respected and appreciated as a top side, ignoring the plucky EFC crap which tbf is more based on finance than quality! He's brought us the likes of arteta Cahill jags baines Donovan lescott Fellaini mirallas ect ect...top players and the current first 11 is the best Iv seen since the 80's.
I went through the ninety's...it was horrible being an everton fan. Moyes made me proud of being a evertonian again!
10 more yrs please davie boy!
Relegation fodder??? Didn't we finish 6th after winning the FA Cup?
Your blind love of the ginger one is getting in the way of the fachts!
It was sad the way the 96/97 season ended up.From what i remember we got off to a good start but we then went on a bad run after christmas.Kanchelskis leaving was the end for Joe Royle and didn't Hinchcliffe get injured as well that season?
Yes we did finish 6th and we gave the red shyte a footballing lesson at Anfield that season!
Yep, and the main reason I believe was that we were after Tor Andre Flo and the money wasn't made available to him and left on that principle (or something to this effect anyway). Royle was starting to turn us around.

For all Kenwrights faults he has been a better chairman for Everton than Peter Johnston.
Debateable.
Royle was in charge for parts of three seasons. We spent two of them stuck deep into the bottom half and finished both in the bottom 6.
In royle's only full season we finished 6th.
Like most things it depends how your phrase it. The truth is somewhere between the two.
TThe way the Joe Royle era ended was very sad if he was properly backed by the board then things could have been different.
There was demonstrations and protests after nearly every game at Goodison against Johnston towards the end of his reign.Selling Big Dunc behind Walter Smiths back was unforgivable.
Royle was starting to turn us around.
