Doesn't make him a lower league player. And he was definitely a wage casualty.

We bought him after he played for Monaco and Southampton.

It doesn't make him a lower league player no, but it doesn't say much that stockdale was rated higher than him

He played for Monaco once and Southampton signed him as they had injuries and he was one of the few available on loan.

If you genuinely believe he is good enough to be number 1 for us then I can't say much more

The facts are he was dropped for stockdale reasons unknown

It's likely however that he was underperforming which is why he was dropped as you wouldn't drop a player in form would you

Perhaps...there is no doubt that he was a wage casualty when they went down.
