Who came out the season with any credit?

Oh no I agree, I just think it’s amazing the slack he gets compared to loads of other players past and present. It’s like literally every post about him just completely excuses him being awful in a way that I’ve never really seen before. I’ve said before, Jack Harrison was a left winger but you didn’t get posts saying ‘to be fair to him he’s playing on the wrong side so he gets a pass from me’. I’m not saying I want people to slate O’Brien, just fascinated by the way he appears to be total Teflon.
Agree mate. And I am not slating him. I just don't think he is a great footballer

It just reinforces the poor performance of a manager stuck in his ways and not seeing what’s in front of him, or denying it.
Doing nothing about it in January and not trying to integrate a Scottish international in the role throughout the season.

I still believe him seeing Keano dominate Barry in training convinced him not to play O’Brien at CB.

The man is a joke.
West Ham fans probably disagree

The West Ham fans will agree.

They wanted rid of him.

Negative, pragmatic manager.
THAT is the point... they wanted him out, because he did not fit the "West Ham Way" (whatever that is) and then learned that it was a mistake (according to many now, including some I know).

Replacing Moyes for a younger more forward thinking coach wasn't a mistake, replacing him with Lopetegi and then Potter was. Just no real plan.
