Which summer signings were a mistake?

Klaassen we've defo torched our dough here, he's mince.

Sigurdsson looks every inch the pretty average player I thought he was so far.

Vlasic has promise, but I'm not quite sure what he is yet.

Sandro - winds me off the clock - you're playing CF, don't drop off to the halfway line or hug the sideline, get in the frigging box ffs!

Martina - just no.

Pickford and Keane were good signings. Klaassen needs time, Sigurdsson needs to play in his position (he's the type o player you build a team around not crowbar into your team), Rooney has been very good, Sandro also needs time (and to play on the left) and Martina is crap, but free, and wont ever play for us again after Christmas.

So the answer is Martina tbh

Klaassen needs time? Time where? On loan? U23s? Reflecting on the true extent of his failures?

Klassen, Rooney and Sigs for me. We really weren't in dire need of mid fielders. We needed a great striker and another CB. For the wages and fees of these three we could have got a striker and a CB.

To be fair they could aall come good with the right manager, they were good players at their previous clubs and haven't turned into bad players overnight, if most were Koemans pick he did an ok job there. But that's where his OK job ended he is a 100% useless manager for Everton totally the wrong choice, Martinez showed promise and had something likeable about him, Koeman doesn't have non of that it's as if he wants to do his job and be as far away as possible from Everton as he can, I know that doesn't make sense but the way he does things and talks it seems to be all done at a distance. Players aren't the problem it's a manager that can't manage them.
I saw Martinez on SSN last night, talking about the Catalan referendum, and I pined briefly.

Too early to really judge it properly.

Martina looks an utter waste of space though obviously.

Pickford and Keane should prove themselves very good signings over the coming years. Sigurdsson when we change this fat headed beaut of a manager will show what a top quality player he is, Sandro is 50/50 - won't be able to judge him for a good whilst, could find form and confidence with a few goals and kick on, or could end up being another in a long list of Spanish players who looked good and flopped over here, Luque, Soldado to name just two.

Rooney - just don't see it ending well, lots of us got our hopes up, but in reality Ferguson wanted shut about 4 seasons ago, and he tended to shift on veteran players at about the right time give a year or two, he's badly faded and whilst a bit better than he has looked at United the last seasons, he is clearly massively deteriorated as a player.

Klassen - just a strange decision - a good player - but IMO we bought a far better number ten than him with Sigurdsson and we already had a comparable or better number 8 in Davies who will only get better, reckon a new manager would actually look at selling him on next summer to fund incomings...

The rest where either young lads who the jury is out on rigthly so, or the young lad we loaned out to Anderlecht, who looks to have a lot of promise.

I know we wouldn't get close to our money back if we sold Siggy and Klaasan tomorrow.
Pickford and Keane are right enough.
Schnides is hot and cold.

Ron has only managed to increase the squad depth, not improve the team.

None have been a success so far apart from Rooney. He's been our best player....for no fee.

Pickford is bog standard (and as I identified a good few weeks back his kicking is atrocious...only to be told at that time I was mad).
Keane is ok but far from an unqualified success.
Sigurdsson has been anonymous
Sandro disappointing.
Klaassen...let's move on.
Sandro - WTF?!
Vlasic - looks ok but far too few appearances to decide.
Rooney no fee ?
I'm not convinced about that
But his wages quantify a big fee in my book
