Where's the root of Everton's problems?

We need players with a winning mentality.

The problem is, players with a winning mentality don’t join Everton, for obvious reasons.

Fitness seems a massive issue too imo, we look second to the ball all over the pitch. Our challenges are lazy/tired where we just stick a leg out and make it easy for *David Mcgoldrick* to skip past us.

Why I think we only do well in a low block and surrender possession, as we can’t get caught out of position or there’s no space to. It’s genuinely mind-boggling how bad we are at closing down, proper Sunday league stuff how we just didn’t think to get close to a man. DCL or Richarlison will close the keeper down, but they will just pass it around them as there is a 40 yard gap to our midfield of crabs, who are sat deep to not expose our defence.

No one on the pitch seems capable of thinking for themselves at the minute either, filling in for others, being able to swap positions when needed. It’s all very rigid, there’s never ever any runners from deep beyond the front two, and not sure if it’s a case of confidence/fitness/laziness/instructions/being pathetic losers. Basically everything unless we’re sat on our own box with 30% possession and hope DCL scores

Monday morning so needed a rant

The problem is the overpaid, overrated, gutless, money grabbing duds we have assembled to play together as a team.

These rats are gonna run one of the most prestigious managers we’ve had at the club for a long time out of the club and people still won’t point the finger at them.

Marcel Brands better sort us out this summer or he’s just a massive waste of space and wages.

Players who are not good enough and a squad with zero balance.

We also have a massive problem if filling our squad positions with £30M players rather than spending big on our first teamers and plugging the gaps with intelligent buys.

Too many players on a high salary which haven't been scouted correctly. Under Moyes/Kenwright we brought in players from the Championship knowing they'd have to work their socks off.

Right now Godfrey, Allan and Doucoure are the only players who seem to have any sort of work rate.

Not one player has came out last night and addressed that performance.

That's the root of it. Cowardice. Terrible attitudes. A lack of a winning mentality that has infested the club for decades.

We should be ruthless in the summer now. An FM style complete shake up. Gut that squad; I'd happily see any/all of them go.

Pickford did an interview for BT slating the attitude.

Moyes found some real quality players for us and as well as that got more out of players of lesser ability.
we knew what we were as a club and knew what we stood for.

All the money we have spent on management and bad players since has really lost the club of any form of identity, to the point now where we are a bit of a standing joke really good in the EPL.

Kenwright - moulds the jobs for the boys lack of ambition culture that runs through the club

Brands - awful recruitment

Carlo - not coaching/disciplining/motivating the players enough

In that order which in all honesty points at Moshiri who doesnt seem to have a clue and just throws mud (money) at things hoping it sticks with no clear long term plan.
