Where is the Snide?

Besic is way too blatant to be a snide, he's just absolutely unstable. Kev is our only snide but as said above he's kept out the team by the most bland footballer in history

Trouble is when things aren't going our way no one thunders in with a big tackle, that's the sort of thing that can change momentum and get the fans on their feet. Nothing gets Goodison aggressive like an opponent being booted into touch.

Neville's tackle on Ronaldo is a great example of this he may have been a limited footballer but he brought that aggression, leadership, snide side to the game which evidently won us games whether we like it or not. Again it stems back to a thread about leadership a couple of weeks back and it was overwhelmingly clear that is what we are crying out for.

That and a manger who's willing to adjust style according to the players he has and the opponents he's facing!

Moyes was a limited manager, much in the way that Martinez is.
Why should we glorify someone who wasn't even able to win a cup in 10 years here?

I agree with the Cahill shouts generally.

But to improve the quality - and he was better footballer than he got credit for - we had to go with more talent there to sacrifice the snidey. If Fellaini had been more consistent, maybe he was the combination we needed.

The thing is you want someone who loves the confrontation so much that they are even prepared to do it to unsuspecting teammates - Fellaini vs Osman in training apparently according to the Skem Snitch's book being an example. Could you imagine Jagielka leaving one in on Rom after the international break shenanigans? You can't even imagine him having an under the breath moan.

The club needs some leaders, but it also needs some fighters. It's another minor disconnect with its fanbase - you just don't look at those 11 on the pitch and think they'd scrap it out for the club
Couple of the youngsters have definitely got that side to their game. I'm thinking Ledson, Walsh and Williams. Hopefully one or two of them will come through.
