What's wrong with Nikica Jelavic?

I'm out having a beer or two so apologies of its a bit of a random text but i mentioned about 5 or 6 weeks ago there are contract 'issues' , nothing dramatic and I'm
Not even sure they're the issue but there is an underlying potential problem . The reality is a goal or two whatever is around will disappear and the fella is working very hard so I'm Not too worried but happiness is always key for footy players & I think those around him think/thought he's worth more

I dont understand how he and his agents think he's worth more when he's proven nothing really. He scored quite a few goals when he first arrived but lots of strikers have done that at various clubs and been a flash in the pan. He needs to be consistently scoring before wanting a payrise.

Everything he touched went in when he first arrived just impossible for that to continue.

Improved we most certainly are and yes we do create but we're not ManU delivering gilt edged chances every 5 mins.

Cracking player very lucky to have him imo.

I don't see how you can say that when you have no idea how much he's on, tbh mate.

Bearing in mind Heitinga is on sixty thousand pounds per week.

The positive from Jelavic's "Dip in form" is that it's made us have to produce goals from outside of our comfort zone. Peanuts, Osman, Jags, Big Vic,The Fro.. not bought for their goal scoring prowess, but have all stepped up and scored us vital goals. If you look at Liverpool for instance or Arsenal, once their strikers stop scoring the teams went into their shells.. and have found it hard to reinvigorate themselves. All strikers, no matter how prolific, have dips in form from time to time. Just look at Torres. The standing joke at Chelsea, £50 million for a bloke who couldn't hit water standing on a boat, when only 12 months earlier was being hailed as one of THE best strikers in the World. City have the fire power at their disposal that some small Central American Counties would be grateful of during a coup. But when did Ballotelli last put the fear of God into anyone with a run of goals ?
All over the park, players have the occasional lack lustre period of achievement. Distin has them when he playes himself to trouble trying to turn with the grace of an oil tanker as he tries to get the ball onto his left foot..cos he only has ONE foot ! Peanuts, not so long ago couldn't find a man with a short ball, even if he had a map and a flash-light..Tim Howard, well he's more David James than David James ever was in prime at the moment !!

Nic will come good, you saw his reaction when scored against Spurs. That was a mixture of celebration of scoring and that of a mighty weight, being lifted off his shoulders. We've all had those days. Jelavic just needs a big blue pill to get his mojo up and running and this will all soon be behind us :D(y)

I think it is to do with being away at the euros. Whenever there is a world cup or euros the majority of players seem tired on the pitch the following season, not in every case for sure but certainly in lots. It looks like tiredness in his play this year. He has still scored a few goals but the obvious dissapointment for me has been how poor and tired his general play appears. He is still putting in a great effort but his touch and decision making have been poor, he can not travel with the ball this season. Last season there was more to him than his goals, he had a bit of everythiong, this year he seems to have lost a bit of everything. I think the last third of this season should see the real Jelavic return.

Im going by sheedy's post saying him/his agents think he's worth more. Now I dont know or really care what he's on but he was very happy to sign it coming from Rangers and it was probably a lot more than he was on there anyway. All of a sudden (if sheedy is correct) he's scored a few goals and thinks he should be on more money.
