Politics. Or 'current affairs'. We've never really got to grips with how best to handle this discussion on here. This is a new initiative we're trialing for a month. If it works, sound. If it doesn't - we go back to;
My own view is that we're a football forum and politics divide and cause needless angst that is detrimental to the community. Approaching 10 years in February, we've always tried to discourage political threads because of the the outcome is typically a negative one.
Still, GOT is a unique beast - lots have asked for a place to discuss current affairs and this is our 'But Ok...' and we'll review in March. It's your platform and it's down to you to make it work.
Our advice to make this forum work;

Isn't current affairs something you can generally talk about in the ale house? What is wrong with these threds being in there, are they detracting from the dapper dogs threads?
