Politics. Or 'current affairs'. We've never really got to grips with how best to handle this discussion on here. This is a new initiative we're trialing for a month. If it works, sound. If it doesn't - we go back to;



My own view is that we're a football forum and politics divide and cause needless angst that is detrimental to the community. Approaching 10 years in February, we've always tried to discourage political threads because of the the outcome is typically a negative one.

Still, GOT is a unique beast - lots have asked for a place to discuss current affairs and this is our 'But Ok...' and we'll review in March. It's your platform and it's down to you to make it work.

Our advice to make this forum work;

• Don't be a tit.

If you are, your account will be denied access to this forum.

Don't know if it's by design or not, but if you're not logged on, then you can still read the content of the threads in this new forum, whereas the stuff in the ale house you can only see the titles.
