Kenwright doesn't want to leave we could have Dortmunds stadium we still wouldn't find a buyer as he isn't selling.

wouldn't except anything less than £50 mil for the pair and if we do were ****ing idiots

Baines is the best LB in the league and certainly in the top 5 in the world right now, and Felliani is one of the best CDM's who can score close to 15 goals from midfield a season, £30 mil we should be looking for

Biggest worry for me when this all started with the Wigan loss and Neville being dropped from that game on. I can't see Felliani staying as Chelsea really want him and Baines will probably follow Moyes. We do need a new zest and champion some of our younger players to pick up the pieces. I worry about a meltdown who doesn't as questions are being asked in all quarters but I still feel we have enough to get through with the right management to come in quick and fill in the holes with decent to good players in the summer window. I can't see us setting any records with transfers.
Well at least this didnt happen a week BEFORE the start of the new season! you are right in saying we have time to get a new guy in, make a few deals and get prepared for next season. BTW is ther any manager out theere that might consider us that is strong enough to persuade Felli, Bainesy et al to stay? I would also be worrried about a few others.. Jags to Arsenal, Coleman to Newcastle (ha!), Ross to Spurs???

All on players.....results attract investment....the debt is a very minor issue in terms of its significance/contribution to the apparent cost of buying Everton. The ground and the squad are the big slices, so eat into one of those (pardon the pun) with any incomings.

How hard would it be to replace Baines?

I believe Mirallas could fill Fellaini's shoes, but Baines...who would take his realms?

I'm sure someone will replace him if that happens, but he's the fulcrum of the attack, no one is really replacing Baines.

I think a player like Fer would fill Felli's shoes more than Mirallas. The real question is whether Bidwell is a future starter. Anyone have any info on how he's performed on his loans, one of which was just extended?

I like Mirallas on the wing, and think Aly Cissokho might be a possible LB replacement. If we sold Baines and Felli, I'd get about three players: tough tackling box-to-box CM, replacement LB and a young striker.

I haven't followed Everton as much as you all did. But when I watched Mirallas he seemed a player with some polishing to do if you want him on the wing. I believe he can add goals if played on the middle. He's different from Fellaini, that's for sure. But he has other stregths like pace, like dribbling ability and he has a record of fine goalscoring, earned playing in the middle.

I remember Cissokho, form his time in Porto. Good player but I haven't seen him since.

I'd spend the money on very good striker and new center back.

It's only now when you put all the changes like that about to happen do I realise how close we are to meltdown.

It's going to require a very, very good manager to come in and steady this boat now.
Think what needs bearing in mind with all this is the short fuse most blues have been left with over the years. We have been through the mill and have very little patience left, whoever comes in I reckon will end in therapy if he doesn't perform and he ends up getting all the pent up anger unleashed...

Great if we improve, Henderson and Downing though, and we're left with the same debt, higher wages and no improvement of any sort anywhere at the club.

For me i'd go 50/50. Fellaini was 15mil, Baines was 5mil so we should be able to replace them with 20mil.

I don't think for us there is. Felli has to be a revenue boost for us this summer no european footie no Felli pretty cut and dry. Baines 50/50 I'm not sure Moyes would do that to us this year maybe next. With the Felliani money we could actually be better with some strategic moves in the market for a playmaker midfielder and striker. I think we could actually look better on the field but may lack the point results under Moyes.
