What would you do with Goodison if we get our new ground?

Going to be a pretty rough gig for the pubs and chippies and that I guess. But they obviously dont open a few hours every 2 weeks, so hopefully they will continue to make a living.

But the ground? What should/will happen to it?

L4 aint exactly a real estate goldmine, lets face it.

A big open space called Goodison Park. We can go and sit there and recall the memories.

I assume they'll pave paradise, and put up a parking lot.

You know, for Kwik Save or something.

I'll be surprised if it's not demolished and redeveloped into affordable housing. The second option will be a few commercial properties.

I doubt it'll be up to us, it will surely be sold.

A museum and community facility, accent on education, learning, development and sport.

It should be sold to the highest bidder. Having said that, you would hope it was sold to an organisation that would benefit the area. The area needs jobs, good quality housing and access to health and community services, it doesn't need a museum that nobody would attend.

Whatever happens to it I hope they leave enough of a public space for a monument that we can visit to remember what it was.

....I suspect a supermarket chain will want the land. It's well situated in a large residential area with relatively easy access.

For me the perfect solution would be to turn it over to EiTC for them to develop as they see fit a number of facilities and amenities that would best suit the local community.

That would be a real legacy from a club totally in tune with it's people.
