WHAT NOW FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON?

I'll be very happy if we finish higher than 7th. That represents progress. Finishing above those bells from whl would be nice. Would also shut those United fans up who say Martinez is a nothing manager.

How does finishing a place lower than last season represent progress?

A bit of simple maths for people,

Winning the Europa league a total of 30mil
Qualifying for CL 60mil before group stages due to bt new deal.

Getting in the CL would boost this clubs finance massively, remember we only didn't get in it proper last time cos gossie eyes was payed not to plus amazingly we got Villarreal and Liverpool got TNS, fixed you say? Never

sorry my bad, winning the Europa is 16mil euro based on winning 5 group games and your group. Wikipedia,

You get 10mil euro for getting in the group stages off CL not counting the BT money and before you play a game
Based on winning 5 group match and your group winning the champion league is worth around 38mil

That is based on this season with out sponsership

That Europa league does what? There's no money in it at all. Just pointless and a distraction as we haven't got a squad to play in the domestic English Competitions irrespective Europe. Would rather give it a wide berth TBH

We have to start somewhere and experience is key. Man United started off in the Cup Winners Cup under Ferguson - I know the competition has changed - and I think it's unrealistic for us to expect to be in the top 4 at the present time.

Martinez said in the week that if we achieve European qualification then a bigger squad is required so there is that to look forward to in the summer, especially as Wigan have played in Europe this season so there's an additional reason to sign up their players!

I like Roberto but I cannot see him changing our set up. But I do not disagree with you

He really need to think about this problem, both are decent players, but offer nothing at all going forward. Plus I think Barry has gone off the boil recently and looks even slower than I remembered.

I'd give my right ball for a good old box to box midfielder right now.

...and who can deliver a well struck and accurate shot

CL place for the winners AB, away days for the fans, European experience for the team and for Bobby ( our style of play suits European football so I think we will do great ), plus a bit of exposure for the club. Your right about not having a big enough squad, that's for Martinez to sort and for Kenwright to pull his finger out of his arse and sort him with some money. Maybe it will work in a positive way as we will expect and demand squad strengthening. Just my opinions though mate and understand where your coming from as well.
