We're 5 points ahead of 8th with a game in hand and 6 points ahead of 9th with two games in hand mate. We're never going to finish lower than 7th.

Hopefully Arsenal and City are kept apart in the semi draw so that there's a good chance of 7th place being Europe guaranteed, will take the pressure off the players then.

To be honest mate I haven't ever checked how many points people are behind us this season as I've always been looking up at what we need to catch the coat tail of 4th ( so in a way that's a good sign I think )

I would take Europa all day long whether that's 5th or 7th as long as we get some form of European togger.

Euro togger will be a good end to the season. New manager, new tactics, new way of playing...1st season gets us into europe will be a mild success.

I'm hoping we get a second wind coming into the end of the season. With United, Arsenal, and City coming to Goodison we still could have a say in how the league shapes up.

Pays some of the bills like. £1million for getting into the group stages. £200k each win. £400k to win the group.

Attracts a different pool of player transfers. Whoever wins it next season gets a Champions League spot too.

Also give the younger players a chance to gain experience.

Undoubtedly today's FA cup game WAS the biggest game of the season and now being no longer involved, what can we hope for in the remaining league games?
I hope I'm wrong but I think we may finish 7th or 8th and what a good time for the club to be sending out the renewal form for season tickets. We love you Everton but why do the fans always have to suffer, season after season? We deserve so much better

we won't finish as low as 8th. newcastle are terrible without cabaye so they have no chance of catching us. soton won't either.

We do what real Evertonians always do, get off our F####### knees and support the team.

We saw a friendly against Real Madrid when suddenly we weren't frightened and actually played, we had a miracle of a transfer window that got us excited for once. We frightened the kex off the RS in the Goodison derby with verve and style (akin to the great teams of our history) and of course slew the dragon in his own lair - Old Trafford.

No shame in trying to win games but getting beat by better teams or more accurately teams with far greater resources - that's how it is.

By all means fret about what is wrong if that's your way but not for me the pros far outweigh the cons.

Time to sort the wheat from the chaff on the field, in the stands on the forums - faint hearts go and have a lie down.
