The main issue on here / wider social media is that people cannot differentiate between being Liberal minded & being a woke.

One is an open minded, intellectually driven & compassionate individual. The other is a radical element of the political left who will use any means necessary to force their agenda/opinions on the masses.

The humorous thing I have found during my observations of the "woke" is that they are often seedy individuals who lack any kind of morality / spirituality. Yet they wish to preach to the rest of us on how to be nice !

Just to clarify, he himself has blamed the whole thing himself for his wife leaving him, I wasn't just pulling that out of thin air.

People fighting for decency should not forget to be decent to those whose views do not perfectly align with their own. Everyone has a view coloured by their own circumstances and background.

Well I agree with this. I don't dislike Graham Linehan, I actually feel a bit sorry for him. But I suppose it's one thing to express an opinion, it's another thing to get visibly obsessed with a single, divisive issue and form an identity around it as he has done. I have expressed the opinion before that I don't think women who were previously men should be allowed to play women's sports. It's gotten some kickback sometimes, agreement other times. However, if I decided that everyone needed to know this opinion at all times forever, fill up my social media feeds with it, go on Twitter and express it as constantly, forcefully and incontrovertibly as he has and generally just become an aggravation for people associated with me, I expect it would have repurcussions for me, both personally and professionally.

Then you have the other lads, some on here, who basically accuse the entire transgender community of being mentally ill deviants who are just a unisex toilet away from raping women who, in the same breath, wonder why we can't have a civil conversation about certain subjects.

TLDR: I think Linehan is quite mad and has serious issues, which is probably a bigger contributing factor in his struggle to find work more than any particular opinion he holds

There are a lot of assumptions there. I don't know when his wife left him. What I do know is that if people lose their living it creates massive degrees of stress that impact every element of their life. He also makes it clear that following the furore surrounding his Trans opinions being aired, people in the industry stopped taking his calls and listening to his ideas. That is as wrong as the posters being removed for Morrissey's album when he expressed right wing views and people decided to try to take away his living ( I am not a miffed fan by the way, he is generally dull for me) We are a democracy and if people are not expressing hate or racism but giving honest opinions around issues, however sensitive, they should be allowed to.

Seems fair enough given how deranged he became, he properly went off the deep end, not just a little, but full-on unhealthy levels of bigotry and obsession to the point where I'm fairly sure most sane people would have distanced themselves from him, as evidenced by his own wife leaving him because of it.

When your wife is treating you the same way people in the industry are then perhaps it's time to take a look at yourself and have a moment of self-realisation
