What effect is all the booing of substitutions in the last games going to have ?

Why were people boo'ing the subs today??

Heitinga playing shocking, mirallas understandably doesn't have 90mins in him yet
Why boo's???

Same at Bolton, the old defender on for a attacker so boo's, yet people to blind to see that involves a shuffle of the pack to get fellaini up top (ie NOT a defensive sub)

Boo's really don't help, just make things worse.

Oh and if moyes is questioning re-signing his contract booing for no real reason everytime he makes a sub isn't gonna exactly make him think he's still wanted here.

Anyone would think we're fighting relagation not challanging the top end of the league.
(Reminds me of villa towards the end of o'neil's reign...they got what they deserved)

To be fair, he was trying to bring him on sooner but was waiting for the ball to go out of play. He would have got about 10 minutes if he'd gone on when Moyes wanted him to

The ball was hardly in play.

I don't boo everton players coming on to the pitch. I just don't do it.

I'll say ffs moyes and wake up blues and the likes and I'll boo the refs and the opposition all day but booing one of our own doesn't sit right with me.

Agreed, i have a moan to the guy next to me, if your unhappy sing!! if u want a sub, sing the subs name,
they sang for Jelavic about 60 mins. he came out at 63.

I don't get the mentality of 'don't boo, it'll make the team unhappy'. So Everton fans aren't supposed to protest the board being a bunch of ****ing amateurs because it sounds like the lot across the park(who, btw have had multiple takeovers in 24/7's term) and they aren't supposed to boo when the substitutions aren't wise. How the hell are people supposed to voice their displeasure? Because forums are such a display they give a **** about?

I don't boo, never have but I can understand some of the above reasons.. (certainly the board), however when he brings on Heittinga who scores last minute and he gets boo'd for being defensive (when it wasn't), and then when he brings on more attacking options.. CB for a winger, midfielder for a striker and he still gets boo'd, they then go on to get us 2 goals and earn a point.. suggests to me that the people who boo should grow the fk up and start learning who knows the more about football. He's made the boo boys look like fkin idiots last few games and frankly they are embarrassing.
Much prefer the fan that supports the team than the fan that tries to sabotage it.

This is spot on for me.Moyes is in the 'mirror' saying he didn't understand the fans booing but he's not bothered. I thought a lot of our fans acted like spoilt kids yesterday as the subs he made were fine(Mirallas was knackered and Heitinga having a mare). But its sad for me to read in the papers about our fans booing the manager in the last two games. Its not right especially when were having a good season.People are so fickle.

The reason people show up at games is because they are passionate about the team. With passion comes elation, frustration, anger, and contentment, to name a few. I don't think booing is great, but its part of the passion.

Professional players know that they come to a club, any club, and are welcomed by these passionate fans. They have to be prepared for the highs & lows or they're in the wrong business.

Well said. I'm sure the £60,000 or whatever they earn each week will soften the blow while us soft ****es will fork out our hard earned dough to pay their wages.

It's human nature for some people to object (in this case boo) when they're unhappy despite the fact it may have negative effects, they just don't think about it. Don't think it makes them an idiot or anything.

I didn't boo personally but cheered when I saw it was Heitinga going off.

This is poorly argued. What if he had went more offensive more early ?

We may of conceded 4, we may not have been fresh enough to get the 3rd.. who knows? We did however get a point.
The point is he's now getting boo'd regardless of whether the substitution is more defensive, or more attacking and irregardless of the effect it has.
Salvages a point with 2 goals, Heittinga scores the winner. He's making the boo boys look like embarrassingly lacking in footballing knowledge.
