I'd imagine you'd want to make it more like a Lemon meringue than Apple pie. But in for a penny, in for a pie.

Mango with a kiss of cinnamon would work.

This seems like a good place to ask: do you not have peanuts in the UK? The video of Michael Keane and Jordan Pickford trying to eat peanuts is baffling. Why did someone have to tell them you need to crack them open first?

Shelled nuts would be quite exotic in Sunderland.

Peanuts are usually eaten salted like Planters. You do get nuts in their shells (for Christmas, especially) but we used to feed peanuts in their shells to the squirrels as kids.
