I occasionally use one of my screen savers as a desktop too, though using a handy little app. I usually have sunset at the ligurian sea up, basically it is what it sounds like

Drag it onto desktop.
Upload it to host.
Drag it back in.
Get image url from host such as photo bucket etc.
