What can we still achieve this year?

Have a strong feeling that the RS will become becalmed and forced to watch ourselves and Bolton contest the places above them, in recent weeks they've far from convincing in the European ties and done over easily by West Ham. I think the Dalglish effect will prove to be a dead cat bounce. Having said that, a Spurs collapse would be very satisfying for oh so many reasons .

Bolton winning hurts us getting 6th a bit (if you have a chance to see a replay of Villa-Bolton though do it, match was just fantastic) and they don't seem to be slowing down. However its looking like 6-8th for us. Would like to see Europe again, we have a big squad and could prob use the ticket sales.

Usually optimistic with my blue tinted specs and all but it’s been a dire season and I just want to see the back of it.

Looking at how tight that table is right now, I'd be really happy with a mini run and hope to have virtually secured premiership status by the end of 1st week in April.

It’s a pity we couldn’t have come up with a decent run of wins this season; Europe would have been in easy reach.

I recon 9th at the best

Don't be ungrateful. We have already won two cups this season.

Brotherhood Cup vs. CD Everton
Translink Cup vs. Brisbane Roar

What else do you want?

best we can achieve now for me is a small amount of self respect back.on league position id say 10th

At this point our season is reduced to cheering on Braga, Kiev and Utd so that those bellends from across the road and those bellends from Manchester won't win anything this year either.

We won't anything for the forseeable future, get used to it.

I wouldn't go that far. Stoke, Birmingham and Bolton have proved this season you don't need a huge amount of money to do well in cup competitions, you just need a bit of luck and to be managed well. We've had neither this season.

This season, as has been pointed out, we're fighting for nothing really. Fortunately there are worse teams than us in this league so relegation won't be an issue, though it may be next year if nothing changes and the teams above and below us invest as we should be.

Alot of people are are throwing out the cliche'd "This season can't end quick enough" though in all honesty, looking at the prospects for next season, its not something to be relished. I'm hoping i'm proved wrong, but the grimness of this season has killed my optimism.
