Why do people want "a good cup run"?

I would rather lose in the third round than lose in the semi.

Signs of progress would be more incisive football, faster breaking along the deck with through balls and one twos round the box rather than lumps to Felli or lobs into the channels. Our possession is too often side to side getting nowhere stuff a la Brendan Rogers liverpool fine for quoting stats but bollocks for winning stuff.

We need at least one maybe two more creative players (Barkley being an obvious choice) and if he gets Jelly slotting again everything else will fall into place - we'll win the Prem by November.

7th. The RS sadly are starting to get their s--- together and there is no one above us that seems to be primed for a fall. On the other hand there is no one between 8-20 who has any ambition to reach the lofty goals of being just good enough to not get into the champions league.

yep can see the RS easily pushing for top 4 next season
 
2nd, being nipped to the title on the final day by Liverpool because next year is their year.
However we win the FA and League Cups and do the double over the RS including an 8 - 1 bum rape at Klanfield.

If Suarez stays / they wisely invest the Suarez money then yes. They need some decent wingers though.

Anyway I reckon probably 6/7th again for us.

Expectations for next term.... Avoiding relegation without winning a single game all season. 34 points and survival on goal difference. At least we'll make parking the bus look sexy. MAybe the bus driver will have stockings on or something.
 
We are miles better than the 8/9/10 teams can only really see maybe Swansea pushing on to a top seven place 7th at the worst IMO
