What are your expectations for next season?

May as well write it off as it'll be the managers settling in period. Reckon about 7th and at least a cup semi myself.

We'll finish 10th and won't win a cup. Might do okay in the League Cup if we treat it seriously, but we won't win it

Personally i'd be happy with top 8 and a good cup run.

Martinez will play football, if we play every game like the last two of the season (apart from when moyes threw fellaini up as a target man) it could be an exciting season. at leat i will look forward to going.

Take out Baines and Felli and take into account a new manager, and I think it's lower down the league sadly. With the right manager though, we could be around that after a season or two

That's our glass ceiling until someone buys the club I think

No expectations. Willing to give whoever is the new manager time to settle in to what is bound to be a bit of an uncertain time. You suspect there will be a bit more player movement than usual as a result of Moyes leaving.

Tell you what, we might drop a couple of league places but I'm more optimistic for a trophy or win at Anfield than I ever was under Moyes.

We just have to give the new manager time to shape the squad and get them playing how he wants them. Sometimes the improvement/deterioration in results are the last thing to follow despite an improvement (or worsening!) in the way you approach playing.

Having said that, finishing higher than the RS again should always be a target. Does anyone know when we last finished above them for 3 years in succession?

I think it'll be fine, though even with Moyes I'd have been expecting to finish below Liverpool this time around (their spending will eventually make the difference).

Martinez will win games that Moyes would have drawn/lost but probably lose some he'd have won/drawn as well. I also think we'll see a lot more of the academy products, and that the team will stay in the top eight.

Not too pleased if it is Martinez but if those are the cards we are dealt I guess we just get on with it. So much for our beloved Chairman listening to the fans eh? Thought the large majority wanted Pereira? Unless he's already blanked us!
My expectations are pretty low just now and I hope whoever the new gaffer is will prove me wrong.
I just can't face going back to those dark days of late 90s-early 00s!!! #shudder
