What are you currently listening to?

My #1 album of last year. I hadn't even considered looking at their videos until today.
This makes me love them even more, it's magnificent.

Pretty sure my favourite Bonobo album is now Black Sands after several listens.

Also, can't stop listening to this since the horrific dancing pony advert at half time last night ffs.

Madness, I was thinking the exact same last night!

This one is firmly stuck in my head at the moment:

It's brilliant. Love the solo on that. Again, like his others I don't think there's many real fillers, but the standard's definitely up from AM and DMFM. These are his top three records though. Going to get onto Caribou properly now too. Loving this stuff.

All killer, no filler. Man.

I love the structure of the songs, there's always a big change in the song somewhere but it's not like your typical 'drop'. You know it's coming eventually but you just don't have a clue what it's going to be, it's unpredictable.

I've struggled to get in to Caribou quite as easily as the likes of Four Tet and Bonobo. The album 'Swim' is brilliant but it's unlike his older stuff. Have you listened to Four Tet's other albums besides 'Rounds'?

Also, you NEED to give this a listen. It's a much longer version of DMFM's 'Something For Windy' and it's just incredible.

I've done Rounds, Pause and There is Love In You, so far. All great. Going to listen to Everything Ecstatic next I think.

Ah, that's boss. The sounds he uses are outrageous. I love the different phases in the songs. Never gets boring or uninteresting or sounds like it's trying to be clever. Just perfect production.

Spot on there. There's nothing unnecessary, every sound fits well. Just beautifully constructed music. What I don't understand though is how he gets all those sounds in to his songs, and then manages to recreate it all live. Can't wait to see it for myself!

I'll warn you now, 'Everything Ecstatic' isn't even 1% as good as the other two, which are his best. He raised the tempo somewhat and to be honest I didn't even get past the 3rd track. He got slated for it I think and then went back to the norm with 'There Is Love In You'. It might not be that bad but it really threw me off.

The album '0181' is good though. It was a free release a month or so ago, it's just 40 minutes of different phases of music. Here it is below, but you can probably get a good quality MP3 somewhere quite easily:

Cheers!! Shame about EE. Ah well, I'll listen to this at some point before I go out. I've never thought of how they get it all into the live performances before! Christ, it can't be easy.

Excellent.

Check out John Gomm too - especially his version of Ain't nobody.

After giving this a bit more attention, I quite like it:
