What are you currently listening to?

I didn't in the end :( was just a bit too dear for me. Going to look to see as many as I can from the Summer onwards though. There's so many artists I need to see live.

Me too mate, I'm making a concerted effort to see as much live music as feasible from now on. I'm fed up of missing gigs.

Anyway.....

FOALS TONIGHT!!!!!!!!

But, I have an exam tomorrow LOL!

This came highly recommended to me by someone I trust, and it doesn't disappoint. Early contender for album of the year. For fans of Ryan Adams-ish type singer-songwriter, acoustic-y, reverb laden guitars and emotional confessions. Winston Yellen's voice is out of this world. Clint Planet in particular will like this I think. Check it out, it's bloody fantastic.

So I've been doing podcasts for the past couple of years for a US "psychedelic" website... figured I might post one of them here in case anyone enjoys it. Tends to be the indie / electronica area - examples on this one are Trentemoller / Chk Chk Chk / Taken by Trees - it's generally quite melodic.

Got back from seeing Foals about half an hour ago. Such a good gig, I enjoyed it a lot.

The best point for me was when they Played 'Spanish Sahara' which then mixed in to 'Red Socks Pugie' seamlessly, it was superb. They did a good hour and a half and covered all 3 albums quite thoroughly, and although I was a little disappointed not to hear 'Black Gold' they can't play every song! They were brilliant any way, certainly one of the best live performances I've seen, I really liked that they didn't just necessarily stick to the album versions of their songs and mixed it up a little, making it slightly unpredictable.

They are boss live mate. Saw them at Leeds 2010 in a tent, atmosphere was insane. Aside from them stretching out my favourite song Two Steps Twice to an epic 10 minutes, I remember dropping my hoody at the beginning, calling it a write off then standing on it 40 minutes later about 20 feet from where I dropped it. Epic.

The atmosphere was sick here too, it was just a shame that I couldn't drink as I've got an exam tomorrow. Still, have you seen the prices of beer in those places?

They finished with quite a long rendition of Two Steps Twice here as well which was awesome. I'm trying to think of other songs I enjoyed in particular but they were all good. I loved Olympic Airways though.

Yannis is cool. He did at least 3 stage dives. He loves it.
