Gomes is in the bin hopefully! Is it possible that Coleman and Gordon are being rested to keep them fresh for Wednesday ? If so, makes it all the stranger that Patterson doesn't make the squad. And where's Gomes ?
Keane being made captain = a tactic deployed by Lampard to raise his performance and lift his mentality.I have some sympathy for Lampard in that there are only maybe three or four players in that side who in any way, shape, or form merit selection. So his hands are tied to a large extent (even if Alex Iwobi should never start for Everton). But making Michael Keane captain is just wilful blindness. I can't even blame Keane for his lack of leadership ability. This is on the manager.
And the next cringe is Bowen powering through our flailing legs (if any of ours are near enough him to flail, like.)Urgh, Antonio is going to bully Keane all over the place.
Happy birthday, it's mine too, hoping for a double celebration with Baggies over at Small Heath Alliance later on today(i’m praying even tho god hates me)
But how will making a player with no self-belief or leadership qualities captain lift his performance? He's as likely to be crushed by the weight of it. More to the point, imagine being in a dressing room and realising your captain is Michael Keane. I suspect Keane is sensitive enough to pick up the vibes that will come his way from his team-mates today.Keane being made captain = a tactic deployed by Lampard to raise his performance and lift his mentality.
Not that he's wilfully blind.
Keane will not be here next season.
Lampard ain't stupid.
This lad might be onto something with "the gorgeous sexy boy line" thing.Keane being made captain = a tactic deployed by Lampard to raise his performance and lift his mentality.

You turn the telly offnot much argument on that but if Doucoure or VDB pick up a knock wher do we turn?
I'd have Pete Price in defence ahead of Mick Keane.Hope Price gets on
Answer is that we simply don't know. But how will making a player with no self-belief of leadership qualities lift his performance? He's as likely to be crushed by the weight of it. Maybe it's a masterstroke - and it'll be Frank's first as Everton manager if it is - but I can't see the logic in this at all. Our captain won't be here next season. I doubt our manager will either, to be honest.
