I was at work and only got back in time for the shoot out. So I missed what sounds like a brave Everton performance and just caught the grinding disappointment that is losing a penalty shoot out. Ffs. Still, sounds like there were lots of positives so COYB.
We were very good apart from the first 20mins of the second half,we really should have won before pens, but they deserved more.

Kept diving to his right and they were just slotting them to his left with ease. Happened about 3 or 4 times in a row. He definitely needs to work on them.

He has potential though, I'm happy with what I've seen of him.

i was one of the few to want him to get a chance, everyone kept saying i was mad. obviously too early to say he's proved me right, but he's been so much better in his limited time than howard has all season and yet he still has no clean sheet because of our gash defence and DM.

Alas Block, I don't think Ross is going to mature into anything like the player we hoped he was going to.

He has the potential to be a very good player but he is not going to be the new Wayne as we all once believed.

I still think he will be. Going forward we have all seen what he can do. It's the defensive side of his game that needs working on.

Maybe he should make a phone call to the Basque region for some advice. :p

Spiders and bollocks and all things bad... That said, we didn't look bad, even with 10 men. Robles had a good game, team looked well. But still.... Snakes and bear traps.

OK we didn't win

But we showed the grit and determination everyone said Martinez would be unable to provide

Mirallas also channeled the spirit of Garrincha

Going to whinge - West Ham were truly truly dirty. Amalfitano, Carroll, Nolan, all pushing and shoving.

Failed to see Big Sam's versaitility on show either

Hopefully we'll take this and go to Pulis and avenge April.

I think he should take a step back, left on the bench to make him more hungry for first team playing time,he starts most game now and he's got complacent.

Kev did tonight what deloufeu did when he came on last season,we miss him mirallas was a game changer tonight, but should be a starter if fit,but we need that del factor off the bench.
