Credit to allardyce for sorting the defence out, that's a range of different attacking styles we've largely kept at bay now.
However, and he will probably admit as much, we have offered nowhere near enough going forward when we haven't had Rooney. He needs now to try to instil some kind of attacking aggression, arrogance and determination regardless of the players at his disposal.
Edited my original post to reflect your very valid point. How would you describe West Brom's attacking style?

Well the Baggies haven't won a Prem League game for 18 games now. So we could have "given it a go" and ended their winless run for them instead. With the players we've got though Eggs, shouldn't we be at least having a go at a team like West Brom, they hadn't won in 17 prem games before today, they have a new manager, but we were negative/defensive the whole game? It was a good job they were gash in front of goal, because they missed 2 sitters in the first half.
Whilst I don't disagree with that sentiment at all, my worry is that BFS is not the guy to make us more expansive. Not since Djorkaeff and Jay Jay Okocha has BFS done anything other than we are doing now. Keep it tight, look to nick it on a set piece. Entertainment it is not....settle for that before the game, settle for it after.
For those that are not happy, think about how you felt after Southampton away. Steady the ship, get mid-table mediocrity and then sign the players you need that might make us more expansive.

I think you overrate our players. Sigurdsson and Bolasie are the only two who have any quality at all. With the players we've got though Eggs, shouldn't we be at least having a go at a team like West Brom, they hadn't won in 17 prem games before today, they have a new manager, but we were negative/defensive the whole game? Clean sheet another point and now level with Leicester in 8th place.
Yes a terrible game against poor opposition but we all know we have little to no attack. Just buying time to the transfer window as far as I'm concerned.
