many posters saying they reckon they’ll stay up with a decent mangerial appointment

do we count Pereira as that?

also, has anyone in the premier league ever had 4 managers in one season?

same with us really, the Dyche fans ignore the fact that he clearly lost the Everton job, at that time, for being very unlikable. Not the results/football.
One of the strange things about sport/football, a bit less often perhaps as players but managers can be the worst most nasty piece of work going, but if they're getting the wins and the trophies, that buys an awful lot of good will. See one Ferguson, Alex. Some of his players absolutely hated him, and some can't stand him even now.

I suppose that would been they have respect, whereas clearly no one dud with dyche

My way or the high way is a thing. Ferguson turned up at man utd with Aberdeen on his cv. Obviously the 80's is a very different time to now.
[note: I hadn't realised Ferguson retired immediately from playing into management. Finished at Ayr in 74 and was managing St Mirren that same year][Old Trafford held 56.5k in 1986]
Made a point earlier in the season about any side can be pretty woeful but goals cover a lot of sins.
I suppose the times and player attitudes are very different now, the hard drinking lout about town is gone, but relics from that era exist. It's more science than social now.
The next era of coaches/managers is going to be an interesting one. I wonder if the modern era could produce a 'Crazy gang' like that Wimbledon outfit.

Has the fun and the character been 'professionalised*' out of the game? Can managers still manage when players are judged on tiktok followers and facebook likes. dyche always was out of his depth, funny how his backers are always happy to pounce on perceived offense from Moyes re 'talking the club down' and 'reigning in expectation' yet go strangely quiet when big seanny starts piping off about how great he is and other such punchlines.

I suppose no one likes their hypocrisy being spoon fed back to them. Keeps the laughs up though...

To answer your question the answer is no, I've just been reading about it.

Honestly I don't think he will be the last either. He has had more clubs than hot dinners, and the Greek has had more Managers that Katie Price has had hot dog sausages

Not really no. I think after sacking 3 there were few volunteers to go before the firing squad.

I've read and heard that one of the big things that counted against Dyche was absolute refusal to take any blame for poor performances. Completely put it on the players the FA cup exit to Wrexham and the shambles in Braga. In the Wolves game he had had Dominguez, a CM, playing out wide, whilst there was £130m worth on the bench.

Never change Sean, never change.

How incredibly out of character for him.
