But the point was, and still is - the bigger picture on Marinakis and his impact at Forest is based on nearly 10 years, not since the summer. Factor in they hadnt been in the Prem for 24 years, they'll just have to cope with a bad season. Poor them. Any sneers at the owner should factor in the whole picture, not just since August.

They have come a long way, but this is really the first time since Marinakis has owned them that the club is not meeting expectations and his actions have been absolutely shocking. Whether it’s his true colors coming out or him just bottling it over a few early losses, he is the #1 reason they are in the situation they are in. He’s wrecked the feel good factor and created an environment that no manager of any quality would want to enter.

Im seeing comments on BBC articles about how he passed fit and proper tests etc.

Loads evidently have no clue about what hes done bigger picture there.

As I say, he took over 1 game before a relegation decider. They won it 3-0 to stay up to prevent league one on goal difference.

8 years later, they're in the Prem for the first time in 24 years, consolidated for a number of years now, with Wembley trips and playing in Europa League.

Im not saying hes beyond scrutiny but the debate needs the wider context too.

And if he keeps acting the way he is they will be right back where they started, in a lot less than 10 years.

Maybe. But what isnt a maybe is the way he's acted has gone them to the level they're at.

I recall watching them on the away end at Doncaster Rovers. Now they've got 1 player worth more than what was their entire squad. Another time vs Oldham when Jose Baxter took the piss out of them. They're a far cry...

If he leaves them now. Or they get relegated and he leaves then. In terms of before and after, I cant name an owner who has progressed a club more. That has to be in any debate around him.
