Seems like he’s already worked the heads of loads of people and made them believe he’s coaching a bunch of bums who can’t be expected to string passes together. The commentators fawning over him for the whole game against Man City was genuinely embarrassing, his entire reputation has been manufactured and given a glossy shiny finish by his media mates.
I honestly think he’ll be gone by summer - they’ve started to see what he’s all about

By whose standards? I expect them to be pushing top half minimum with the squad they’ve got and the money they’ve spent. Don’t be gasdyched into thinking this is a bunch of relegation battling no hopers, they finished 7th last season and then dumped another £200m down on players. Their owner hasn’t thrown that amount of money at the squad to be told 16th is the best they can hope for.

He did better than I thought he would do so far overall by how I rate him. By club standards they have a better team than us and should be around the 30 points mark, that's sure.

I won't blame him for how Ange bad did with the same bunch of lads. But we will see what the 2nd half of the season does.

He's done better than expected there so far, but you can't be a good manager if you think it's the right idea to spam crosses vs Everton, which is one of the best teams in the air. And they have decent players on the ball.
There's a young Forest fan who does a weekly YouTube video who called that pre kick off. Late in the game (too late) they put a few low crosses in which did cause problems.

They did, I think the only time it was really dangerous before was when they put a long ball centrally behind Patterson and Hudson Odoi luckily didn't hit it properly.

I don't think that he'll ever manage in the Premier League again after this season. Unless he's willing to take a championship job and get someone promoted (and I find it very hard to believe that a forward thinking Championship Club would want him) there's nobody who will want to take a risk on him. He's blown two big opportunities now with us and Forest both with his lack of flexibility and more importantly his terrible attitude. Honestly, he's just not cut out for this level. He has one single game plan and nothing else, it can work when your target is 17th but nobody wants that long-term, especially when you know that he'll never allow you to move beyond it because of his lack of flexibility and his point blank refusal to ever take responsibility.

If Forest stay up, I guarantee we’ll see him manage in the Premier League again - irrespective of whether Forest sack him before next season (and they will).

He’s got his niche, and he’s recognised for it. Forest avoiding relegation, no matter the quality of the football, only burnishes his reputation as the relegation scrap guy.

The Dyche horn will be blown again by another floundering Premier League club.

Why? Their aim is surely not to stay up, they’ve spent £400m on their squad and they qualified for Europe last season. He can’t keep getting away with lowering expectations to 17th at every club he goes to. I think what this season has done is put a pin in the ridiculous idea that he is forced to play the way he does because of the quality of player and shoestring budgets available to him.

His reputation should be “the guy if you want to perpetually be in a relegation scrap forever”.

2 promotions with Burnley? And does have an eye for a CB and big CF. It is the allardyce playbook, but that got him pints of gravy, vases of wine, and the england job. Football is an odd thing, Italy can't get themselves together, Germany is making noises about there being no strikers being made anymore, the golden generations from France seem to have dried up, and England seem to have a conveyor belt of midfielders like never before. Oh and the PL this season seems to have reverted to 70's norm set piece specialists. Now I wonder what % goals this season from set plays compared with previous.

He'll start moaning about the wood injury and the requirement for a bruiser up top in reserve. Chances are he'll be afforded one as well.

I’m not saying Dyche gets work because of thorough, well-thought-out strategies at the clubs that employ him.

He’s the panic lever, just like Allardyce was for so long.

In order to keep that role, he only needs his clubs not to get relegated while perpetuating the dubious narrative that he’s working miracles with limited resources.

These'll go for Larsen after wolves lose a couple more games, they'll cash in and trim the wage in anticipation for the summer. They'll know they're done by the end of the month.

I'm not sure about that mate. Keeping forest up isn't impressing anyone. They have far to good a team to be in this position. This is like when we brought in Big Sam in 17-18, he did the job but it was like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut.

I’d go so far as to say that irrespective of whether or not he keeps Forest up, his name will still come up in panicked boardroom discussions in future.

There’s no way this is the last of Dyche in the Premier League.

If he takes Forest down (and I don't think he will, West Ham look toast to me) his entire mystique and gimmick will be gone.
