We dont have a snide

Yacob should have seen red for some of his so called tackles -the first one on Pienaar was border line red - that set the tempo they kick us at every opportunity & got one yellow card we ended up with FOUR Yellows !!! I agree with your observations, but PN is no midfielder or a Captain for that matter!

We lost the closest thing we had to one when Cahill left. There was no one cute enough to go through Yacob today, he set the tempo for Brom, he scythed down Pienaar and Jelavic and Baines today in the opening 20 minutes and didnt get punished, we then saw a distinct lack of bottle as our lads looked around at each other to see who would contest this little c**t and no one stepped up. So Reid got in on the act and started hacking at players as well. We got no way near the amount of freekicks we usually would, and certainly no way near their end. To blame just the referee is wrong, he was woeful but that is no excuse for one of our outfield ten to not stick a nasty in. Every side needs one, some teams have multiple 'game closers'.

We dont stay on the deck and roll about looking to get other sides booked, we rarely if ever leave a foot in, and when the game isnt going our way and the other side wants to fight it out in no-mans land we just do not have the steel.

How Hibbert was booked first today for his first infringement was a joke. Playing like gents and abiding by sportsmanship is great if everyone is at the same game, they are not.

Good post, mate.

Moyes doesn't get on with snidermen (see Duncs, Becks, Drenthe). His system is reliant on fair-minded, hard-working, diligent, obeying types. It makes us arguably the most morally best-behaved team in the Premiership. Even Fellaini's masses of yellow cards are never for snidey things.

But Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and now Man City have shown us that your team needs one or two bastards in it to really challenge.

Everton have the same problem as the German football team, they also miss having an arsehole character in the team and its preventing the winning of trophies.

Every Title winning side ever has had one or two players that can nullify the best players on the opposition - sometimes its picking up a yellow card early to keep them quiet, and sometimes it means kicking them out of the game. Fact is, when opponents want to mix it and you cant step up to the fight.... you lose.

Heitinga was needed yesterday. Think he's starting to get fed up too.

Yea, remember when he barged Ashley Cole on the way to Cole taking his pen in that shootout? He ended up missing that pen thanks to Johnny. He's still our only real Sniderman, tho' Moyes is no doubt beating that out of his game. I'm not keen on Jella's dives & play-acting as I feel this is a snide too far. But yeah, most other tricks are fair game.

In an ideal world we wouldn't need any of these underhand tactics, but the fact is that all our competitors do it a lot more than us...we're already behind in the financial stakes, we can't afford to be behind in other key areas, otherwise we'll never qualify for Europe again.

I thought yacob was a talentless player. Running around chopping players. Awful.

Using words like "talentless" is rather bizzare if I may so. There might have been tackles he missed, but the majority he got amongst your midfield and won his battles. I don't think you should label him as talentless if your players didn't have the bottle to do something about it. Also, he controlled the midfield, the pace of the game so to label him as talentless is unfair. He's proved in his opening three games with us that for a player signed on a free transfer he is an extremely good accquistion and one who has taken to life in the PL very well.

Good pickup for a free. He's far from talentless. He bossed the midfield even when Fellani dropped back and made Fell give up yesterday. Not many have done that recently.

He is not talentless, will give you that. But his talent is at being a right rancid knobhead whose nose should not have been just bloodied yesterday but bashed in. Would have given anything to have seen what Big Dunc would have done with him. There was more hacking going on yesterday at yours than in a slaughterhouse. Yacob is your nasty little Suarez type character. Except he doesn't have the teeth of an alpaca. As I said in the match thread, I give WBA credit for their win y'day. But the jarg ref and Yacob's douche-baggery have to be called out as well. Good buy on a free, he is effective, for me, I just don't like how he does it.

I'll label him, like others did to Charlie Adam recently, Yacob is a nasty piece of work. (But every side needs one).

Nasty piece of work is extremely harsh considering I would say you've seen 90 minutes of him. I thought he had an excellent game where he won the majority of his challenges, certainly not as dirty as what's being made out.

How many of you labelled Charlie Adam because he used to play for that pile of ****e across the park?

Certainly doing a good job if he's winding up the opposition this much

Wouldn't say Yacob is our nasty character, according to many opposition fans, that's Jonas Olsson. Yacob yesterday for me was excellent, as he has been in the opening two other games.
