Have you considered the Mahrez factor in your equations and also the fact that there will be rain in Mansfield next Wednesday beteeen 2 am and 5-45 amI have us finishing 8th on 53 points same as Leicester who finish 7th. But they have a better goal difference.
Current form suggests: 1 City (obviously) 2 United 3 YKW 4 Spurs 5 Chelsea 6 Arsenal
7 Leicester
8 Everton
9 Burnley ? - though slipping
the rest could be almost any order.. I will hazard a guess
10 West Ham
11 Palace
12 Bournemouth
perm any 3 from 8 to go down
13 Swansea
14 West Brom
15 Stoke
16 Southampton
17 Newcastle
18 Watford
19 Huddersfield
20 Brighton
No. He hasn’t even done particularly well results wise.
Looking at PL results.
Koeman had 9 games and got 8 points.
After Allardyces first 9 games, he had 9 points.
(Unsy got 7 points from 5)
Koeman had to play Chelsea, city, united away. Arsenal and spurs at home. (Got a point vs city, only team to do so for a long time).
Allardyce has had Spurs and Liverpool away. United and Chelsea at home. (Got a point vs Chelsea and liverpool)
He has also played 2 promoted teams, the bottom team Swansea, and lost to Bournemouth who Koeman Beat.
He only looks good cause he got 4 points from last two games making 13 points from 11 matches. He hasn’t done anything special or saved us. Just continued the dross.
Edit, I’m not advocating Koeman, he was awful, but just want some perspective seen about Allardyce and what he has actually done for us.
Does a team in the top 6 not have to both with the FA Cup & Europa League (so Arsenal) for 7th to qualify for europe?
I think Arsenal would have to win one or the other, not both? Unless I'm misunderstanding you, which is possible as you seem to have accidentally a word.Does a team in the top 6 not have to both with the FA Cup & Europa League (so Arsenal) for 7th to qualify for europe?
Competing in Europe every year should be the norm. This squad is good enough to get one of them spot.
3 specs, 1 for the FA Cup, 1 for the League Cup, 1 for 5th.
So yeah
So say City win the league cuo that takes it to 6th? And if two top 6 teams play each other in the FA cup does that move it to 7th?

I think if the right players are played in the right positions and we get Baines back 4/2/3/1 will work.Fact remains, we keep playing 4-2-3-1 and it doesn't work for us. We need to change the system, and if we are determined to play this system we need a left back who can get up and down the pitch, a more mobile midfielder in front of the back four, and a left sided forward. Sicne the transfer window is now shut and we can't get those players, we will limp through the season and finish about 13th.
