True. However, I imagine that what our friend here is asking for really is how to make that time as painless as possible.
Bad news for him then.
If he is really into her...in love.....then it ain’t going to be painless and that pain cannot be mitigated in the short term.
I can only speak from my own personal experience of heartbreak.
You just keep on keepin’ on until one morning you wake up and she isn’t the first thing you think about.
Then you realise that when you think of her, it is the sex you remember more than any endearing (or annoying) trait she may have had.
You see her walking down the street with another fellow and you don’t feel like you have been gut punched.
Eventually you will go out with another girl and find yourself both interested in her and attracted to her.
And 40 years later you are still with her, have children and grandchildren and look back on your heartbroken Lothario days with wistful affection
