That was a top save to be fair, but Leighton Baines takes penalties, end of.

yeah, i mean there wasn't much wrong with the pen, but he does go there quiet often, fair bit of credit to the keeper, but we have two players with almost perfect pen records who were both on the pitch at the time. Don't know siggurdsson's record, but probably pretty good too.

With the right partner beside him, he has to play in midfield for me.

His positive, lower percentage balls in behind are invaluable against most teams because he has the talent to actually nail a good percentage of them.

missed three this season hasn't he? I think that's what they said in the game, but two have been scored on the rebound. I remember him and DCL scoring off rebounds, he definately scored the one v west ham he missed. I looked for tosun's but no such record exists, a besiktas fan said he scored 22/23 so i'll accept that.

rooney scored 37, missed 11. Could be argued he's had a lot more, so more likely to miss more, but still i'd back baines etc. not to miss more than he'll score if he had 20 more pens.

Played well in the main - head went down after the penno miss. Drives me nuts how he pulls rank on that all the time.. he's missed 3 now this season.

We just can’t keep missing penalties. Baines must take it if not Sigurdsson. Both as you said have great records on it.

Baines surely.

Only missed one in his career and it was against De Gea. Not half bad.

He is finished as a consistent performer. Baines really needs to put his foot down re penalties

we need to start boring teams like the RS did and take them to pens all the time, we'd have a very good lineup for them.
