thought he was by far our best player in the first half tbh. I'm not sure if it's him himself that has us playing worse, i think it's the fact we always bring someone with actual pace on for him, as well as another two subs with pace .... it's just the same every game. He starts every game with all the other one paced slouches.

Agreed.

Some games he would excel from the start, some from the bench. I think it doesn't help him that he never has any pace around him to bounce the ball off.

He was lucky to be on the pitch at all. Made two awful challenges and if he'd connected with someone's leg he'd have been shown a red.

Can't fault his commitment, and he's still got some skills, but when the legs have gone you need to find another way to play, and I'm not sure he has that in his locker.

Don't blame Rooney it's not his fault...

Wayne still shows passion & pride for the shirt & can still be a vital cog in the Everton revival wheel....

Alas he needs to be used sparingly & does not need to start in every game..

Rooney will not let EVERTON down so let's support all our players & cheer us on for the rest of the season....
