There is little doubt Wayne is past his best. Yet you look at guys like Scholes and Giggs who went into the late 30's and it's reasonable to ask could Rooney. He hasn't got the physique of Giggs, but he could have the intelligence and technique of Scholes.

I maintain he could have a huge role around the club, in helping the next generation come through and putting a winning mentality back in the team. By all accounts the young players at England really look up to him. This team has lacked that winning mentality at times. I also think he'd be a great foil for Lukaku, almost the perfect foil.

If the price was right and Wayne is serious about keeping himself fit and playing to a good level it's a big yes for me. He needs a change and I think a move will reinvigorate him.

Sometimes people need a change though, to refocus them. He'd also give our dressing room what I think Ibrahamovic gives United. A real leader.

It's a no brainer.
