Well some of you got your wish - Tosun coming on for 35 minutes in the second half. Didn't make any difference.

There were a lot of predictions that Gerry would destroy us single handed. No sign of that.

Another 3 points not won. Move on to the next game. At least I can give MOTD a miss - can't stand the programme anyway :coffee:
Geri was the best player on the pitch until his injury.

Tosun looks like he has ability just totally lacking in pace.

Both teams were sloppy but at least Watford capitalised on it, we don't look particularly bothered about scoring goals. Our players also seemed determined to gift them the ball at every opportunity.

When our identity under Sam is based on doing the basics well and we can't even do that, you know it's bad. We spent a fortune in the summer and yet still look like a side who need a major overhaul. Shambles.

When will that be, though? The next three games are key now, if we only get 1 or 2 points (or 0 points) from Burnley away, Brighton at home and Stoke away we will be right back in the dogfight. We know that the RS and Citeh are going to hump us at home after that. Most importantly, what about Sam's recent management gives anyone any confidence that he's the guy to get the six(ish) points we need?

..I agree with that. I think the Arsenal game was a line in the sand for me, a true indicator Allardyce wasn’t the man to take us forward but I still think he did the job he was brought in to do.

If we make Europe next season, I’d like to see us ease back on the unrestrained attacking football we’re currently playing. Continental defences are better than English ones at defusing the blitzkrieg football style we employ and we might get hit on the counter.
I love the style Fat Sam has brought to the team, and I love the way our players have embraced it, and how enthusiastic and up for games they are.
But if we’re to win the Europa and then compete at the business end of the CL, I think we might need to temper our ‘all or nothing’ full frontal assault tactics

That implies we are safe, I wish I had your confidence.

Is it bad that my two boys, ones 13, the other 9 aren't even bothered or surprised that we lost? They shrugged and just got on their ipads. If not for us older fans who have kids, where are our new fans coming from?

That's worrying.
Should take 20 years of this [pick expletive] to become NEA at defeats.
