I remember after we signed Silva and then took Richarlison that Warford fans were giving it loads about "sideways move" etc.

I said at the time, these types of clubs always go back down.

We see them come up, we see them go down. We are always here.
 
I think we can all state that sacking him was mistake

Would they have possibly done any WORSE with him still being there?
That's it in a nutshell. Pearson would have made them harder to beat in those last two games. It smacks of absolute panic and could only have a negative impact on the team prior to two quick succession games were you'd want any last 0.01% you could get. If he'd have got a point it might have been enough to change the entire dynamic of the relegation fight in their favour ... no sympathy for them over this.

So weird too as he was likely gonzo at the end of the season anyway

Why not just ride it out instead of pretty much dooming the last two games by sacking him?

Unless he did something so beyond the pale but I presume that'd be well known either by rumour or innuendo if not by factual report if that was the case.
