I missed this game! Was away at the time deep in French countryside with no radio. Had to wait until late that evening to find out the score. Them were the days. late Dad and soon to be Madame Allezlesbleus were there though. Raved about the atmosphere. Have a look just behind Reid to his right as we look at him as he is lining up to take the free kick from which we scored. Bloke makes a quick sign of the cross haha!

Yeah we changed our style a little from the previous season, we played at a faster pace and did play the long ball to utilize Lineker's amazing pace, who wouldn't'? But we didn't change that much. We attacked on the ground, through the middle, from the wings and through the air, it was amazing to watch as the team could do absolutely anything they wanted. To me it was a more mature team than the all conquering one from the previous season, and Lineker was a massive part of it. That team was incredible, I think better than 84-85. A travesty that we didn't win the double, made even worse that the (to me) far inferior RS side did.
