Calvert Lewin was knackered would have made more sense to take him off than hurting kean's confidence, he tried when he came on.

DCL was moved to RM and tracked back and can be relied on to work hard even when he’s knackered. If kean went to rm or even worse niasse ... it’s veey likely they would have found a lot of space and perhaps screamed some thing .

Mourinho did it with Mata, it happens.

The Manager is there to make in-game decisions and to constantly adjust to the situation as he thinks best.
Did it with the midfielder too, can’t think of his name, boss player who he took to United with him from Chelsea.
It could be the best thing to ever happen to Kean.
hopefully he’ll lie in bed tonight and have a word with himself, come out fighting and snarling determined to prove Ferguson wrong.

That 4 mins could easily have seen us concede again and lose the game though and even with a kind eye the lad didn’t look like he’d only been on for 18 mins he appeared that tired.

If this was Mourinho who has a history of being a jerk to young players I’d be more annoyed - I just have to think/hope that there is more backstory to it and the arm round the shoulder route has been already tried multiple times.
Maybe, it’s not so much that he hooked him, it’s that he blanked him but then said it wasn’t because he played bad.

The only thing I heard about Dunc was that he was kind of frozen out by Sliva and that the young players like DCL really like him. So either Kean wasn't doing a job and Dunc was just desperate to hold on to at least a point (understandable - you don't want to be deflated by not even getting a pt after up 1-0) or that there is something going on behind the scenes.

I trust Dunc’s decision in this one.

Keane had the look of a spoilt brat when he came off.

Needs to do some growing up.
Wouldn’t you?

Slate his performance when he was on (didn’t notice anything myself but Dunc had front row seats), not for being confused/upset for being humiliated like that

You’d have to ask Ferguson. He won’t publicly say as it would significantly reduce the resale value we’ll get for Kean.

However, he was hauled off in the Watford game by Silva and he was poor, lethargic and sluggish in that game.

Ferguson clearly sent him on with a message to be energetic and get amongst them and inevitably felt he wasn’t giving enough - so prepared Niasse who, while lacking quality, honest endeavour is always guaranteed.

I'm asking you though because your tell me he didn't work had

What did he do that showed he didn't work hard?

If that's Silva taking him in that manager he gets slaughtered, as I've said as well if dunc felt he wasn't doing as told he should have tried to have a word with him instead of doing that

There have been performances by senior pros very recently that have been 10x worse than that and never resulted in an embarrassment like that.

Just think it's weird to start making these types of points with 19 year olds with 2 games under their belt

There have been performances from senior pros like that or even worse ... you’re right and that’s the problem . There has been no such performances under Dunc and long may it continue

Still think he has a future here, but let's look at things here, we chastise DCL when he has a poor game and doesn't get hooked and he's not much older than Kean so why should Moise be given a free pass for under performing in a 20 minute cameo when the caretaker boss has put faith in him to put him on to go for the kill?
