I mean, it's not really a difficult thing, is it? We're not exactly asking a HUGE amount. Just a coach/manager who isn't a has been dinosaur or a never-was manager. Unfortunately for Vitor, he is a never was. Lampard has potential. Kovac has potential. Rooney has potential. Rudi Garicia has potential. There are a TON of managers who could fill that criteria but we keep getting the weirdest fn links because our owner thinks he knows more about football than football people when it's clear he has no idea, at all, about the sport.
The likes of Kovac, Garcia, Potter etc. probably have no desire to join the club because we’ve fired five managers in five years and have fans capable of these sort of stunts. Why would any promising manager looking to build a career want this job? They won’t touch us with a barge pole and not should they
Errant owner who can fire you at any time
Completely confused executive structure with no accountability anywhere
No DOF
Terrible first team squad
Academy not producing anything
FFP constraints left right and centre
Ridiculous fan base that can’t link the quality of the squad to the football that can be produced
Virtually impossible chance of getting in the top 4 or top 6 in the short term due to gap to top teams.
Why would any in demand promising young manager want to touch that?
