No it's definitely excuse making when you point out that it doesn't make sense to expect the team who spent 13th highest amount to finish in the top ten at a minimum.

Who cares if 12 teams spent more than us and we hadn't invested a penny in the squad for five years.

NSNO LADS. This means more or something like that.

Moyes absolutely has managerial blind spots. He is far too risk averse and I don’t like the fact that he appears to have significant influence at the club in terms of transfer oversight (he should have a say, it really no more than that). It is clear that the summers transfer business was simply 1) not what the first team needed or 2) the quality was not good enough.

Where people are unrealistic, is expecting him to produce performances and / or results when not just first teamers are missing but our best players. Branthwaite, Gana, N’Diaye, KDH. Everyone acknowledges our squad is poor but apparently forgets that when it comes to those same players being in the first team.

Mixed bag for me….poor summer business, Afcon coinciding with a dreadful bout of injuries and a defence first minded coach. Where Moyes gets to see the summer and into next season, are the remaining games this season when players return to the first team. If we carry on this run, then he’ll be out and rightly so.
